ALTABAX is a generally well tolerated option for treating impetigo.* It is prescribed by doctors for adults and children as young as 9 months old. In studies, only 1.4% of patients experienced skin irritation after applying ALTABAX.

Is ALTABAX safe for use on children?
ALTABAX is generally well tolerated in children as young as 9 months old. In children, side effects may include itching and diarrhea.

For how long is ALTABAX used?
ALTABAX is applied to the affected area twice a day for 5 days. You should always take your medicine exactly as your doctor has prescribed.

Do I need to keep applying ALTABAX even if my infection is healing?
Yes. Be sure to use ALTABAX for the full 5 days, even though the skin infection seems to be getting better. Call your doctor if there is no improvement in symptoms within 3 to 4 days after starting use of ALTABAX.
