If the skin or area around where you are using ALTABAX becomes sore, red, itchy, or starts to burn, swell, blister, or ooze, you should stop using ALTABAX. You should also wipe off any medicine that is left on your skin and talk to your healthcare provider.

ALTABAX should only be used on the skin. Do not swallow ALTABAX or use it in your eyes, on your mouth or lips, inside your nose, or inside a woman's genital area.

If your infection does not get better in 3 to 4 days after you start using ALTABAX, talk to your healthcare provider. ALTABAX may not be working. You may need a different medicine.
