Altabax Information

Topical antibacterials generally have fewer side effects than oral antibacterials.1 New ALTABAX is a generally well tolerated option for treating impetigo.* It is prescribed by doctors for adults and children as young as 9 months old. In studies, only 1.4% of patients experienced skin irritation after applying ALTABAX.

Tell your doctor if the treated area becomes more irritated, gets red or itchy, burns, or shows swelling, blistering, or oozing.

Call your doctor if you have any side effects that bother you or don't go away.
